Measurements:

(Recipe in grams below!)

Chocolate

  • 1 cup chocolate (your choice of milk, semi-sweet, dark, or a mix!)

  • 2 cups kataifi

  • 3-4 tbsp butter

  • 2/3 cup peanut butter

  • 2 tbsp powdered sugar

Why measure in grams?

If you ask any bakery how they measure, most will say they measure in grams. Measuring by weight is more reliable for desserts because some recipes don’t specify if you should pack your ingredients and do not take into account how different people measure their ingredients.

A common mistake people make in measuring ingredients is when measuring brown sugar. Brown sugar is clumpier than normal sugar because it is mixed with molasses. 100 grams of white sugar is equivalent to 100 grams of packed brown sugar—though most people don’t pack their brown sugar the same way, so you will most likely not get the same measurement unless using a scale.

Food scales are such an amazing and cheap investment to make for your kitchen because they will allow you to copy recipes perfectly because they are far more reliable and allow you to not use as many dishes! Click here to order a food scale!

  • 170 grams chocolate (your choice of milk, semi-sweet, dark, or a mix!)

Filling

  • 150 grams kataifi

  • 50 grams butter

  • 160 grams peanut butter

  • 15 grams powdered sugar

Kitchen Equipment

  • Stand mixer with paddle attachment OR medium sized bowl with rubber spatula

  • 2 tbsp cookie scooper

Instructions:

  • Step 1

  • In a microwave safe bowl, melt your chocolate in 30-second intervals until fully melted.

  • Step 2

  • Using chocolate bar mold, pour half of the chocolate into the mold and spread it evenly along the sides.

  • Step 3

  • Place the mold in the freezer and chill for about 20 minutes.

  • Step 4

  • While chocolate is chilling, melt the butter in a pan over medium-low heat. Then add the kataifi and toast it for about 10 minutes until lightly golden.

  • Step 5

  • Transfer the toasted kataifi to a bowl, then add the peanut butter and powdered sugar. Mix until everything is well combined.

  • Step 6

  • Take chocolate mold out of the freezer and evenly spread the kataifi mixture inside. Then pour the remaining chocolate over the kataifi and return the mold to the freezer to set.

  • Step 7

  • Once fully set, slowly remove from mold. Enjoy fresh or store in a chilled environment for up to 14 days!
